It’s good to have a clear understanding of how to use our materials and also to know how they will react with your paper so in the next video I will be showing you how to explore your graphite tools. We will also discuss some tips for shading and mark making.

I hope this helps you feel more comfortable with your graphite tools if you are new to them. Make sure you play and experiment to truly discover the ways you best use your pencils. Everyone will have a different touch and groove. Honor that. I highly recommend practicing your pressure and shading techniques to develop a more keen awareness and sensitivity to your mark as well.
