Welcome to

Petals and Portraits

4

project two: color and texture

In this project, we will explore color and texture in our art journals.  We begin by selecting paint colors inspired by our favorite flowers and develop a successful color palette to use in our creation of beautiful, messy abstract florals.

Once we establish the colors we want to use, we will sketch loose flowers in our art journal and then build layers of gorgeous color with acrylic paints, pastels and a touch of light molding paste to create amazing texture.
I love creating flowers with this fun, colorful and messy technique.
